Yvonne Okoro spotted with His Royal Highness, Prince Edward


Actress Yvonne Okoro was Tuesday pictured with His Royal Highness, Prince Edward, The Earl of Wessex KG GCVO when she joined high profile personalities at the 2016 Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Scheme in Accra. Prince Edward who is the youngest of four children and the third son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh arrived in Ghana on May 23 for the award ceremony.
He is a patron of the award scheme which recognizes young people who are impacting society positively. Among other dignitaries at the ceremony on Tuesday were Vice President, Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, Minister of Youth and Sports, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye. Yvonne Okoro who is a brand ambassador for the Head of State Awards Scheme Ghana (Duke of Edinburgh International Award) was the only entertainment industry person at the ceremony. She gave a speech at the ceremony and also had discussions with the dignitaries about how to improve the film industry in the face of many challenges.
Meanwhile the actress’ new movie, Ghana Must Go also bagged eleven (11) nominations at the 2016 Golden Movie Awards. Nominations were released on Tuesday night and she also got the nod for Golden Best Actress category. source; ghanareporter.com
