The University of Education Winneba, one of the leading universities in Ghana has released its application forms for the 2016/2017 academic. The forms were released on 14th December 2015, for the sole aim of admissions.

TARRIFFS SHOOTS UP; GHANAIANS CRY. KONADU AGYEMANG ATTACKS MAHAMA

The woes of Ghanaians just got bigger as the Public Utility Regulatory Commission PURC, on Monday 7th December 2015 announced an increase in tariffs.  The said increment is to take effect from 14th December 2015.


The never reliable electricity couldn’t have gotten any worse; as electricity tariffs was shot up as high as 59.2%. This is surely a fulfillment of the “if you want quality, then prepare to pay more” statement released by the president some weeks ago. Water was however no exemption, as it saw a whopping 67.2% tariffs increment.

Inalienably, influential politicians and stakeholders have released statements expressing sentiments about this unceremonious increase in tariffs. With Kofi Kapito, Chief Executive of  the Consumer Protection Agency charging the power Minister, Dr. Kwabena Donkor to resign. He further went on to urge Ghanaians to protest the increment.



     
NANA KONADU AGYEMAN RAWLINGS
 Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, former first lady and founder and leader of the National Democratic Party, was however not left out as she took to social media to say John Mahama and his incompetent government is heartless for pursuing this increment. She ended by urging Ghanaians to be bold and say no to the NDC government.
