
The convocation which was part of his official visit to the Scotland took place at the University’s Kings College.

He was accompanied by the First Lady, Lordina Mahama, the Foreign Minister, Hanna S. Tetteh (MP), the Communications Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah and the Education Minister Professor Naana Jane Opoku Agyeman.

President Dr. Mahama just couldn't leave the occasion without have to give his usual impressive speeches. Here is what he had to say;
"Let me express, on behalf of the good people of Ghana, my wife Lordina and my family, appreciation to the Faculty and Staff for this recognition and honour done me. I consider this an honour for all Ghanaians and it is a reflection of the strides we have made as a people, both internationally and at home. I therefore dedicate this Doctor of Laws honorary degree to the people of Ghana."
